make sure the ceramic vessel has the wax and wick / wick metal stand from the previous use being removed. to learn how to clean the vessel, please click here.

cleanup:
avoid working on wooden table which might get stained by the wax. if liquid wax spills, alcohol with tissue paper can wipe it off

after the wax is set, it may has uneven surface. for detail please go further down under "what could go unexpectedly" paragraph

here is the step-by-step guide

[ see it on vimeo ]

cut the plastic cable tie so the scented wax packet, small bag and tag are separated

inside the small bag you can find the step-by-step guide

fill the pot with 6cm-depth of water and bring to the stove to boil

when it is boiling, lower the heat to medium-low or 600w, put the scented wax packet into the water in up-right position and leave the packet in the water for 15mins

while waiting:

  • place the sticker showing the scent to the bottom of the vessel
  • attach the wood wick to the metal stand and put it in the middle of the vessel

after 15 mins, take the wax package out from the water, remove the cap, gently pour the wax to the vessel and make sure the wick stays in the middle

do not move the vessel around
wait for it to completely set, this may take at least 6 hours

what could go unexpectedly

the wax in the packet is not completely melt.
the temperature or other factor may makes the wax not melt completely, if this happens, press the packet so the solid wax can sink to the lower part and melt or put the packet back to the pot with boiling water in up-right position if there’s a large portion of solid wax.

not achieving the smooth finish:
uneven surface and air bubbles may occur, this is due to the natural ingredients used and without additives added. In order to avoid that, controlling the temperature of the environment and the wax is required for the whole process which maybe too much for a leisure maker but don’t worry, this does not affect the performance of the candle.
